Tommy Saunders (played by Mark Wahlberg) on the constructed Boylston Street set with the very well-matched visual effects extensions in place. Bottom, left to right: A high shot of the model of the fi nish line area on the Boylston Street set. Built in 1/4" scale, it gave a rough idea of what would be built vs. what would be created with visual effects. The fi rst bomb site on the Boylston Street set built at Weymouth Air Station, showing the aftermath of the bombing directly in front of a sporting goods store that was extensively detailed to match the real store, inside and out. The FBI technical area of the Black Falcon Warehouse, where evidence, mostly video, is analyzed. The window wall in the back was constructed in the warehouse; you can imagine how boring the set would be without it.
