Torres is one of 25 operators at the company, which specializes in tours that intermingle elements of quantum physics with an under- standing of the land and spiritu- al energies of what are known as Sedona's vortexes. An energy vortex is a natural location that some report as prac- tically vibrating with a powerful en- ergy that surges naturally from the earth. Most who feel this energy say they fi nd it to be inspirational and benefi cial. "How I explain a vortex is I relate it to the human body," Torres says. " e human heart creates the identical ener- gy to that of a vortex; the spiritual experience is purely po- tential, based on how people perceive that energy." Earth Wisdom's tours run 2.5 hours, and while there are plenty of jeep tours available throughout Sedona, this par- ticular company is one that takes visi- tors to several diff erent energy sites in the Coconino National Forest. "I guide tourists to experience that energy, but I don't have an outcome for them," Torres says.
