Right: MOLLIE ALEXANDER (2016) recently completed her first year in the Production Design program at the American Film Institute, and before that, she studied Production Design and set construction in Chicago's Columbia College film program. While she is always up to filling the shoes of Production Designer and Art Director on commercials, short films and features, she also has experience as an Art Department assistant on the first season of HBO's television series TOGETHERNESS, Universal Studios' film KITCHEN SINK and Lionsgate's LA-LA-LAND. Above: LAURA SANTOYO'S (2016) key frame illustration was hand drawn in ink and colored in Photoshop. She graduated from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia, with a bachelor of architecture, and also studied creative arts and literature in Canada. Over the last six years, she has been working on several projects as an architect while taking Production Design courses and designing short films. Left: CLARISA GARCIA-FRESCO (Class of 2016) drew these plans and elevations in AutoCAD ® and later colored them in Illustrator ® and Photoshop; the axonometric of the space was modeled in Rhino ® and colored in Illustrator; and the 1/4" white model with textures was hand built. Ms. Garcia-Fresco was born in Argentina and graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a bachelor of architecture and has been practicing for over ten years. Her work gave her the opportunity to live in London, Shenzhen, Rotterdam, New York and Buenos Aires until her passion for film and storytelling lead her to Los Angeles and the AFI.
