"The AWBP enables graduates to imme- diately contribute at a signifi cantly higher level," says Master Somme- lier and CIA Professor Robert Bath. "There is no other program in the U.S. that goes this broad and this deep into the world of beverage." Experiential, Multisensory Learning AWBP students gain that depth and breadth of knowledge through tasting, pairing, discuss- ing, and analyzing, all with the guidance and insight of the CIA wine and beverage faculty. "The opportunity to study under Master Sommeliers and countless other wine profes- sionals who have unparalleled experience is something I have yet to see offered with any other program," says alumna Amy Racine, wine director for Sons & Daughters. "AWBP was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'm so glad I was able to be a part of." Connected to Napa Valley An essential component of the 30-week AWBP curriculum is learning in the fi eld. Students venture out into the Napa Valley and beyond to learn from the region's growers, distillers, and winemakers, connecting them with industry power players. "The guest lecturers, the trips, and the relationships I made at the CIA at Greystone were invaluable," says AWBP alumnus Julian Sanders, who works in the wine program at Restaurant Gary Danko. "I wouldn't be where I am in my career without those hands-on experiences and real-world interactions." The CIA's expert instruction, top-notch learning facilities, and ideal location in the heart of the Napa Valley combine to deliver a program that gives graduates a competitive edge in the beverage industry. Perhaps Associate Professor Christie Dufault sums it up best: "Wine education at the CIA in the Napa Valley is simply the best." Classes start August 18, 2015 and students who enroll by May 1 receive a $2,500 confi rmation grant. Delve Deeper into the World of Wine Wine is your love, your passion, your inspiration.
