24 Spring 2015 | AEA Advocate A S S O C I A T I O N G O V E R N A N C E STATEWIDE CANDIDATES Margaret Chaney I believe in taking action which is why I serve proudly as a building & Area rep, (previous) Ethnic Minority Director- at-Large, 3.1g Task force member, ESP committee mentor, TEA membership committee, GREAT Team committee. Making a difference is what I strive for! Kirsten Conrad President of the Vail Education Association for the last eight years, my greatest achievement is strengthening communication between superintendents, administrators, and teachers. I was a delegate at last year's RA, giving strong focus and energy. Honored to have that great privilege once again. Rachel Stafford For 7 years, I have served as a dedicated board member/ local leader proudly representing AEA in countless ways, taking your message/voice to state and national leaders. Attending the RA would allow me to continue my service to AEA/NEA: therefore, I appreciate your vote and support as your 2015 RA delegate! Nidia Lias As a leader and your AEA Treasurer, I proudly represent our AEA members. I bring experience: a voice that represents and advocates for our AEA members and our organization's core values. I ask for your vote to the NEA Representative Assembly. Marisol Garcia As the NEA Hispanic Caucus Director, the AEA EMC chair, chair of the AEA Legislative task force, and the representative to the AEA BofD for Region 6, I believe, that as a leader in AEA, and a strong local president, I am the best candidate for delegate to the NEA-RA. Eboney McKinney No statement submitted Andrew Morrill As AEA President, it is my privilege to represent you throughout the year, across the country, and across the NEA. The Representative Assembly is the highest governing body in the NEA; please allow me to lead and represent AEA this year and be your voice at this assembly. Thank you. Emily Freed Each year that I have taught, you have been kind enough to elect me to the AEA Delegate Assembly and the NEA Representative Assembly. The members in my new site have also elected me as their AR. Please help me continue working for our Association by voting for Emily Freed! Joe Thomas As your AEA Vice President, I would be honored to carry your voice to the national level. I will strive to help lead our delegation from the RA fl oor and ensure all delegates are information and feel their voice is heard. I ask for your vote. 2015 NEA-RA Candidate Statements Christy Sainz I would love the opportunity to represent our members at the NEA- RA this July. I have been an AEA/Tucson EA member for 12 years serving on the EMC Task Force, current EMC Secretary, Latino Outreach Cadre, and currently on Tucson EA BOD. Thanks for your support. Jason Freed I continue as a leader in our Association. I've served as a local offi cer, bargaining team member, PAC Committee member, AEA committee member/chair, and as your NEA Director. I've worked hard for our Association and ask for your help by voting for Jason Freed as an NEA Statewide Delegate.
