COVER STORY Badoit at Brasserie Ruhlmann One of New York's most beautiful restaurants, Brasserie Ruhlmann, the Art Deco masterpiece in the heart of Rockefeller Center named for the French designer whose concepts and craftsmanship epitomize the glamour of 1920s Paris, is a modern ode to classic French cuisine. Part of the Orsay Restaurant Group—owners of New York's La Goulue, Orsay and a sister Brasserie Ruhlmann in Chicago—the New York restaurant is also one of the city's most popular. The kitchen, helmed by famed chef Laurent Tourendel (of BLT fame), offers guests an authentic French dining experience from its menu to its wine list—and now, with the addition of Badoit to the beverage lineup, its water. "Adding Badoit to our repertoire was a no-brainer for us. A wonderful product, it's classic French, and so are we, " says Managing Partner Bernard Collin. "We'd been using it in our Chicago restaurant and were thrilled to be able to put it on our list here. —D. R. " At stunning Brasserie Ruhlmann in Manhattan, Managing Partner Bernard Collin has added Badoit to the restaurant's list: "It's classic French, and so are we." 94 / the tasting panel / october 2013 TP1013_066-107.indd 94 9/23/13 10:36 PM
