Register! Engage! Vote! M A K E S U R E you are registered to vote: Go to sos.ca.gov/elections to check or to register. The last day to register to vote is Feb. 20, 2024. Be an engaged, informed voter. Talk with friends, family and colleagues about public education and labor issues. Read up on relevant bills and initiatives at cta.org/election to understand the issues and CTA's positions. Don't forget to build your personalized voter guide: Go to cta.yourvoter.guide. March 5 is California's Presidential Primary Election (the General Election takes place Nov. 5). Key races and initiatives are on the ballot at the local, state and national level — with many outcomes affecting public education, workers' rights and more. There are 2,000 2024 school board races in California alone. Your vote is critical, now and in the fall. Know that when you follow CTA recommendations on candidates and important initiatives, you are voting to support California students, schools and colleges.
