Key to everyone in this group was Lauren Sandoval, who managed the critical role of research and digital asset management. She fielded things for all the departments and somehow kept up with the seemingly never- ending concept presentation schedule. By far, the most challenging of all were the concept vehicles. The Art Department was tasked with designing a fully functioning, autonomous rideshare vehicle and an autonomous motorcycle. ictor Martinez took these in hand and fully developed them. The development and construction of a fully functioning vehicle, based on the approved concepts, had to get done in a 12-week turnaround. This challenge was attacked by splitting up production of the vehicles into different specialized vendor teams. This was coordinated by the exceptional picture vehicle coordinator Rick Collins. Art Director Chris Dileo was my first hire and spent almost the entire show focused on the vehicles. The built vehicle list also included an autonomous ambulance, a corporate jet, and a police vehicle. Concept artist Thang Le came up with an elegant corporate design for an airpod that had a limousine-like uality. This took a lot of developing with the special effects department, headed up by Mark Byers, as it all had to be structurally engineered to be lowered by a crane on location, as well as mount to a motion base for work on stage in front of large LED walls. Thang Le also developed a series of utilitarian robots introduced this season. In the show, it is revealed that Delos Corporation builds more than just the humanoid robots viewers have come to know in the park. New to this season are construction robots, laboratory robots and riot control robotswhich I described as being like a Swiss Army knife in the way that they MONTY'S LAST STAND Delos Corporate AirPod v001 MONTY'S LAST STAND Rideshare Vehicle v15a C.
