Have you given any thought to your 'fi nal location'? I have: Hollywood Forever Cemetery,
where I will spend eternity "below … and above the stars." Located in the fi lm capital of the
world, industry pioneers, actors, cra smen, producers, directors, writers, cinematographers
and composers are memorialized in this bucolic se ing among statuary, peacocks, fountains,
refl ection pools and dramatic monuments within these fabled walls.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery has appeared in numerous productions. Location
professionals frequently use cemetery facilities when fi lming in the area. As a location,
there are many looks, unique structures, a swan-fi lled lake, and when rolling sound, it's dead
quiet! The original cemetery, established in 1899, included 50 acres that eventually became
the Paramount Pictures Studios lot. Just south of the cemetery, Paramount Studios is still
going strong nearly a century later. AMPAS founder and fi rst President, Douglas Fairbanks,
and his famous son, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., a major star in his own right, are interred in a
