INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT Appointments S Frank Genovese. Dan Heller. Tony Truzzolino. Douglas Simon. te. Michelle Wine Estates has promoted two executives to lead the company's domestic and international sales regions. With the retirement of Glenn Yaffa, a 30-year veteran of SMWE, Frank Genovese has been appointed to succeed Yaffa as Executive Vice President, Sales. He will have direct oversight of the company's domestic and international business units, customer service department and wine education team. Dan Heller, Ste. Michelle's West Region VP, will succeed Frank as SVP of Sales. The four regional sales VPs will report to Heller. Tony Truzzolino, who previously held the role of Beam General Sales Manager Southern, will now be taking on a new position at Southern Wine & Spirits as SVP Sales, working exclusively on behalf of the Beam business. Truzzolino will report directly to Brad Vassar, Executive VP/GM of SWS of America, and will be responsible for driving the growth of Beam's portfolio. Royal Wine Corporation has announced that Douglas Simon is joining its wine and spirits team in the newly created position of Vice President – National Sales Manager. Simon will be responsible for wine and spirits sales across the entire United States. He has over 20 years' experience on both the distribution and producer/wholesale sides of the wine industry, having started his career at the Gallo Wine Company and most recently being Vice President – National Sales Manager of Jackson Family Imports & Global Business Development.
