On Dec. 19, the subcommittee hosted its first coffee gathering at recently unionized Spot Coffee in Buffalo. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to meet and discuss topics relevant to area members. On Feb. 8, the subcommittee hosted a conversation with National Board member and two-time SAG Award-nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson in Buffalo. The actor discussed his storied career on both stage and screen, as well as his work as current professor emeritus and former chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance for the State University of New York at Buffalo. ● Above, the subcommittee's first coffee gathering in Buffalo. Your Career and the Bottom Line B enefits of SAG-AFTRA membership and ways in which good financial strategies can make a difference in their careers as performing artists was a featured topic for NYU acting students on Feb. 29.
