For two hundred years, farmers in southwestern Sweden have been growing virgin new potatoes and calling them by this nickname. Delicate, thinskinned and flavorful, the potatoes have many fans willing to pay top dollar for a bunch, but it was Börje Karlsson who thought they would be ideal for vodka. Spending three years polishing the production technique, Karlsson takes the seven top varieties of the potato and distills them each separately. He then blends the distillations to varying percentages to ensure a consistent flavor from batch to batch. Karlsson's is a super-premium, unfiltered vodka that is a shining example of pure "gold." King's Ginger Liqueur ◆ 1 oz. lemonade ◆ 1 oz. club soda or top with a Champagne float ◆ Pour all ingredients into a shaker, shake and strain over fresh ice and top with a champagne float or club soda. Serve in a wine glass and garnish with fresh lemon wheels. 13
