dinner from mid-April through mid-October, Kerouac's restaurant
is lively with locals and tourists alike.
For dinner, the food selection is small but just right: salads, pizzas,
and burgers — but make no mistake, these are artisanal dishes. The
Mediterranean pizza features Kalamata olives, roasted red pepper,
red onion, spinach, rosemary, and fresh feta cheese — which can be
eliminated for vegan diners. The Margherita was letter-perfect with
imported Italian tomatoes and mozzarella. A starter of Castelvetrano
and Kalamata olives paired with Marcona almonds was delightful, as
was the crispy fried Brussels sprouts, and the fresh Kerouac's Caesar
salad. There's an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail list; desserts
include a fresh fruit crisp with almond-cinnamon oat topping, an
