I served as both Director and Region 1 Alternate Director for 6 years and have been diligent with staying informed with the actions of the AEA Board by attending meetings and sharing outcomes with our membership. I am looking forward to continuing those responsibilities, including information that will stimulate conversation within the membership, increase and strengthen our voices, and continuous advocacy for our region's needs. Communication is the key to any and all relationships and holding a position on the board is no different. As a loyal and active member for 18 years, I proudly serve on the AEA Ethnic Minority Task Force, current AEA Ethnic Minority Caucus Chair, Latino Outreach Cadre member, and the Tucson EA Board of Directors. I have been fortunate enough to have been elected to serve as a local delegate at the Arizona Delegate Assembly since 2010 and a state delegate at the NEA- RA in 2010-2018.
