130 Sets and Counting Of the hundred and thirty sets that were designed, one of the more notable swing sets was the Snappy Snack Shack convenience store. I wanted to tightly control the colors of this set, from the signage and neon to all of the products on the shelves. Kellie and Christina teamed up to buy or create products to fill the store, all of which paralleled the colors of the Snappy Snack Shack logo. Referencing the original Heathers, Christina and I came up with a modern slant on an '80s look for the exterior and interior signage. The layering of neon, wide horizontal stripes on the walls, and other graphic details lent the store a surreal, otherworldly look and feel. Deep Regrets Jewelry Store Deep Regrets was a heaven/hell jewelry store designed for a dream sequence with arched, textured concrete walls, silky fabric drapery and a changing light sequence. As with any store, a sign was needed. Christina created an original calligraphy typeface that was translated into a yellow neon sign. High School Boiler Room Heathers simply wouldn't be Heathers without a boiler room. For this version, the boiler and all the accompanying pipes, valves, conduits and tanks were built. Joe Weber did a great job with the construction drawings, laying out the very specific placement of the boiler itself and all the pipes, conduits and electronics in the set. Heathers Then and Now The original Heathers left an indelible mark on a generation of teens and continues, as a cult classic, to spook and inspire new devotees and hardcore fans alike. The production felt a real responsibility to the original film and its fans. With that in mind and KILLER new material from which to draw, a whole new Heathers universe was created A.
