T h e t w o - d a y conference is de- signed to inspire, challenge and equip artists, cre- ators and story- tellers who work in a variety of in- dustries. BFN - PANELS/FESTIVALS/ EXHIBITIONS BFN - EDUCATION For the next few months, CD Tricia Gray is teaching at Cal State LA. The students are working on two film projects with a grant from the Academy. Gray waxes, "I didn't realize how much I knew until I started teaching." BFN - HONORS Neiman Marcus' 2018 Fan- tasy Gift list is offering a day collaborating with CD Colleen Atwood on a one-of-a-kind out- fit inspired by her latest project, Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald. The gift also includes lunch for the recipient and guest, along with a photo op with Atwood, the original design sketch from the collaboration, and a variety of swag from the film. In ad- dition, Neiman Marcus will donate $20,000, split between two nonprofit organizations, The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation which brings art experiences to youth, and the LUMOS Foundation to benefit disadvantaged children in orphanages around the world. Atwood says, "When the Neiman Marcus group approached me with this amazing opportunity to combine couture fantasy design with the ability to support great charities, it felt like taking Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald to a new and magical place."
