Stevie: WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE JOB? AN: The people that I meet every day as I scout new locations—it feeds my soul. I also love this wonderful creative piece of the production puzzle! You can't tell a story without a great location! And many times, the location becomes a character itself. Stevie: WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF OR SOMEONE JUST STARTING OUT IN THIS PROFESSION? AN: Take the time to listen and learn what all departments need in a production so you can tailor your work to make the rest of the project better. Stevie: WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE LMGI & HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER? AN: My colleague, Chris Kucharski, introduced me to the Guild. I joined four years ago. Okla- homa does not have a proper union for loca- tion managers. The LMGI provides a profes- sional organization that supports my work.
