Las Amigas is a support group that helps plan and raise money for the annual Torrance Memorial Holiday Festival. Attendees took in the runway parade while enjoying a high tea and champagne menu. MIRACLE OF LIVING AT THE BEACH In a lecture titled, "In an Emergency…Every Second Counts!" key players in the Torrance Memorial emergency department highlighted the unit's capabilities. The Melanie and Richard Lundquist emer- gency department takes care of 85,000 people each year. At the Miracle of Living lecture at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach, physicians discussed Torrance Memorial's TeleStroke program, Comprehensive Stroke Center designation, emergency cardiac care and how Torrance Memorial and Cedars-Sinai's new affiliation will bring more expert care to the South Bay. 4 1 1 2 3 1 1.
