The goal of this new role is to further the long-term interests of the Caesars Entertainment's meeting and sales organization and to drive incremental revenue growth within diverse market. Anthony McCrary Sr., Strategic Account Director brings over two decades of diversity experience and community relations to the new role. Representing all of the Caesars Enter-tain- ment portfolio of hotels across the U.S., his overall responsibility is to serve as the cen- tral point of contact in collaboration with the Chief Sustainability Officer, and Social Impact and Inclusion Vice President. McCrary will also build effective partner- ships with internal and external support teams to support Caesars' sustainability and inclusion efforts, and much more. "The goal of launching this new role is to align with the strong corporate social responsibility values of Caesars Entertainment," said Chief Sales Officer Michael Massari. "By adding this position, we will provide a single point of contact for all meeting and event needs, working in collaboration with our Chief Sustainability Officer Gwen Migita." Most recently, McCrary joins Caesars from Staples Inc., where he was the Strategic Account Leader, responsible for managing the sales growth of the Pacific Northwest region and integrating the brand's core product offerings. McCrary is involved with many local community organizations and cur- rently serves as an advisory board member for the Jesse Bethel Law Academy, a program designed to expose at-risk high school students to the legal pro- fession in California. McCrary most recently completed a two-year commitment as the com- missioner of the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Commission (JJDPC), which focuses on reducing the recidivism rate of juvenile offenders in Solano County, CA. In addition, he served as the 2013 chairman for a men- torship program through his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. McCrary holds a B.S. from Sonoma State University, as well as a MBA from the University of Phoenix and lives in Vallejo, CA with his wife and five children. President of the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers (SACEOS) and chief executive of East West Planners Singapore, Janet Tan-Collis received the award recently at PCMA's Convening Leaders event in Nashville. Presented by Mary Pat Heftman, 2017 Chair of PCMA Board of Directors, the award recognizes individuals or organizations for their unique achievements and contributions to the business events industry over the pre- vious year. Singaporean Tan-Collis has been recognized for her commitment to improve the industry and her involvement in driving education opportuni- ties for emerging event professionals in the APAC region. Tan-Collis stood out among industry professionals for her dedication to inspire and mentor the next generation of business event professionals, as well as her outstanding initiative, alongside her executive committee, to suc- cessfully create and deliver the Singapore MICE Challenge, which saw its third edition in July 2017. At the Singapore MICE Challenge, taking place during the Singapore MICE Forum, teams of students across Singapore majoring in business and events had to produce a realistic and competitive event proposal. In return, they had the chance to win a fully-sponsored trip to this year's PCMA Convening Leaders event in Nashville. This opportunity meant they could net- work with more than 4,500 meetings industry professionals and learn from the innovative knowledge sessions and high-profile speakers. For the first time this year, both the winning and the second placed teams attended the PCMA conference and had the opportunity to pres- ent their innovative event proposals in front of an industry-led audience and key media.
