www.postmagazine.com 40 POST MARCH 2018 PEOPLE FAY HANCOCKS Fay Hancocks has joined Bournemouth, UK's Outpost VFX as VFX producer, in charge of supporting the studio's output across feature film, high-end TV and commercials. Previously working at MPC and Double Negative, Hancocks has produced VFX for major feature films, including Star Trek: Beyond, Total Recall and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. In her new role, Hancocks will be tasked with nurturing Outpost VFX's close creative relationships with clients, as well as helping to further the studio's vision for fairer treatment and better working conditions in post production. DAVID FISHER New York's Click 3X has tapped David Fisher as the company's new managing director and executive producer. He joins Click 3X from the New York office of R/GA, where he held the title of executive content producer on Samsung Global and, before that, Verizon. Prior to joining R/GA, he held senior production positions at such agencies as Arnold Worldwide, where he was SVP, director of integrated production for its New York office and TBWA\Chiat\Day, New York, where he was executive producer. At Click 3X, Fisher will be tasked with guiding the studio's move into a new era of video content creation and production for brands and agencies. He will also supervise the day to day operations, and will help prepare the studio for a move into its new Tribeca location. MELISSA TAYLOR Framestore has appointed Melissa Taylor as global joint head of business development. As a highly-re- garded producer, Taylor has worked with some of the world's biggest VFX studios across a diverse range of prestigious feature films. Her 30-year career spans many groundbreaking feature films, including Dragonheart, The Shawshank Redemption, the Hunger Games franchise and 2016's Wonder Woman. Taylor launched her career at ILM, as VFX coordinator for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. She continued to produce VFX feature films and joined Framestore in 2001, heading up the TV department. For the last four years, Taylor has headed up the new business team at Framestore, which included executive producing such films as Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. ANNE STROCK Dallas, TX-based Lucky Post welcomes producer Anne Strock to the studio, bringing extensive post and agency experience to her new position. Strock started her career at agency TracyLocke on Frito Lay, Hasbro, Harrah's Casinos and Nokia on the account management side of the industry. Over the years, she built her reputation as a skilled and trusted producer, working with such noted brands as Ram, McDonalds, The Home Depot, TGI Fridays, GameStop, Pier 1, Wawa, Atlanta Falcons and The Salvation Army. During her tenure at 3008, she led the post production of the 2015 Super Bowl Jeep spot This Land and Dodge's Wisdom, the 2014 Super Bowl Jeep spot Restless and the 2013 Super Bowl Ram spot Farmer. TRENT JOHNSON Veteran colorist Trent Johnson has joined Hollywood- based MTI Film, bringing more than 25 years of experience and credits spanning features, animation, episodic television and restoration. His recent credits include Columbia Pictures' The Emoji Movie and the upcoming MGM comedy Overboard. Johnson comes to MTI Film from Deluxe, Culver City. His previous experience also includes staff posts with Sony Pictures Colorworks, Technicolor, Encore and Complete Post. Early in his career, he worked on such animated television series as The Transformers and Duck Tales. More recently, he focused on final grading for such studio features as Ted 2 and The Smurfs. QUAN CM TRAN Dallas-based 3008 Editorial has added editor Quan CM Tran to its roster of talent. Tran has cut spots for brands such as Gatorade, Nestle, Dodge, Nationwide, Patron, Cleveland Cavaliers, Hershey's, Coors Light, Hasbro, Pepsi and The Home Depot. In the emerging world of 360 video and VR, Tran has edited projects for Shinola, GMC, Occulus and the film Arrival. His 360 video for Shinola received a Lumiere Award from the Advanced Imaging Society. In addition, Tran has cut short films that were featured at SXSW, Dallas International Film Festival and the Warsaw Film Festival, Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia, and Oculus House at Sundance. Before joining 3008, Tran worked at Reel FX, Radium, Willow Street Editorial and Mad River Post. JANET ARLOTTA Writer and veteran executive producer Janet Arlotta has joined the Denver, CO-based design and brand- ing studio Friends of Mine (FOM) as executive pro- ducer. In her new position, Arlotta will leverage her nationwide reach and give FOM a local presence in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. Prior to joining the company, Arlotta had been the executive director of (n+1) design studio, after her long run as owner and executive producer of Fuel. She currently has more than a dozen scripted and unscripted projects in development. Her feature film trilogy, Mistress of Rose Hall, is currently in development with a Warner Bros. division. Her book, With My Dying Breath, was featured on ABC TV's 20/20 in October 2017. RUBY WANG Dallas-based new media creative studio Flight School has added Ruby Wang as concept artist. As a part of Flight School's creative team, Wang is responsible for crafting new designs for characters, environments and assets on a wide array of projects. She also contributes to story development for the studio's virtual reality and animation projects. Most recently, Wang was the art director on Island Time, an in-development VR arcade game, as well as an artist on projects for clients including Dell, Chevy and Starbreeze VR. Prior to joining the team, Wang interned with Tonko House, working on the Annie Award- nominated series PIG: The Dam Keeper Poems.
