When you purchase tickets, you are given a map of participating gardens. This is a self-guid- ed tour; you choose how much walking you want to do. Docents are on hand at each location to answer questions at this annual event. The gardens are all 80% native plants, and you can see them in a garden setting more like the size of your own. Whether you are planning your gar- den, communing with nature, or just getting fresh air and exercise, remember your local public gardens offer a great natural resource. .
