Trade Show to take center stage from July 28-30, cul- minated by the Apex Awards gala dinner. Workshops dealt with a variety of topics, from "Multicultural & Heritage Tourism Industry Update" and "How to Develop An Effective Multicultural Tourism Program That Empowers & Embraces All Facets Of The Minority Community," to "Niche Marketing – African American, Multicultural & Heritage Tourism Markets, What Is The Economic Impact To Communities?" and "Marketing To & Booking Multicultural Tourism Business – Traditional Media, Social Media, OTA, What Works, How To Do It And Where To Find The Leads." The conference also included an Arm Chair Discussion bet4ween Gloria Herbert and Calvin Ramsey entitled "The Essential Green Book, Then & Now." Herbert, the associate editor/publisher of Black Meetings & Tourism, discussed with Ramsey his research into the original Green Book and the documentary film about the Green book that is currently in production, as well as her project in development to launch a New Green Book in early 2018. The NABHOOD conference was preceded by a Golf Tournament and Deep Sea Fishing & Shark Tournament, both of which raised funds for HBCU's and minority hospitality student's programs, while prior to the Multicultural con- ference, the Greater Miami CVB hosted a Multicultural & Heritage Tour of Miami. The 22nd NABHOOD conference will be held on July 25-27, 2018, followed by the Multicultural 5th conference on July 27-29, both of which will be held once again at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel.
