Local 706 "This & That…" The American Theatre Wing's 71st Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11, on CBS. This year's pro- duction will be hosted by Kevin Spacey (so, we can probably forget about an amazing opening number, à la James Corden, Neil Patrick Harris or Hugh Jackman). While (as of this writing) the Tony nominations have not been announced, my money is on Dear Evan Hansen (and its star Ben Platt) and Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 (and its stars Denée Benton and Josh Groban) to garner most of the musical nods—and can anything or anyone beat Hello, Dolly! and its star Bette Midler (and its $40 million advance…) for best musical revival and best actress? Let us not forget about War Paint, depicting a bitter rivalry between two glamorous women, starring Patti LuPone (as Helena Rubenstein) and Christine Ebersole (as Elizabeth Arden)—which reminds me of another famous 'Feud.'
