Torrance Memorial Medical Center's Volunteer Auxiliary presented a check for $300,000 to the Torrance Memorial Foundation at its 2017 Auxiliary Board Installation Lunch. e donation is the largest check given at one time and will go toward the transformation of the North Patient Tower. e more than 900-member Auxiliary collected the money through various fundraisers and proceeds from the Torrance Memorial Auxiliary Gift Shop. e record donation was the result of an increase in gift shop sales revenue in 2016, under the volunteer management of Gail Long and Tina Trudnowski and their leadership team. In addition to the check presentation, the Auxiliary announced the installation of its 2017 board.
