R RADHA MITCHELL In the entertainment world where actresses are so prevalent, one has to really be notable to generate any hope of success. Success for an actress depends upon the ability to maintain a healthy flow of work. Radha Mitchell is one of those successful actresses, who is found over and over again in a variety of roles. First finding success and fame on television, Mitchell made the difficult jump into film where she has achieved even greater success. From "Pitch Black," to "Phone Booth," to "Man on Fire," Mitchell's career started snowballing, boosting her into bigger and more prominent roles. Last year she starred alongside Bruce Willis in "Surrogates." That sci-fi actioner proved that Mitchell was able to take on any role assigned to her. This year Mitchell dabbles in horror. The film, "The Crazies," takes place in a small town where the townspeople begin to become infected by a mysterious toxin in the water. Insanity ensues and Mitchell is stuck in the middle of it. "The Crazies" opened in theaters February 26th. Mitchell is one of those actresses who brings a certain comfort level to her roles. You know the film is going to be good or at least will be well produced, because Mitchell is a sure thing. She also falls into that category of actors who, when hearing them talk in real life, causes this reaction "She has an accent?" (Think Hugh Laurie). Certainly, this Australian-born actress hides that native accent well and does a superb job in any film she is in.
