Hollywood Edge adds to HD offerings

OLLYWOOD — The Hollywood Edge (www.
hollywoodedge.com) is offer- ing an addition to its Premiere Edition collection, recorded in high definition at 24-bit/96kHz. The release, which features more than 24GB of general sound effects, is the first install- ment of the Premiere Edition in HD, designed for film, TV, radio, videogames and more. The Premiere Edition HD
features all-new HD record- ings produced exclusively for The Hollywood Edge by sound designer Kamen Antanasov, creator of the Sound Designer Tool Kit 2 and The Edge Edi- tion 3. It includes many of the most commonly used types of SFX, including vehicles, impacts, crashes and machinery. The collection also includes SFX for many types of technology, some of which did not exist at the time the original Premiere Edition was created. The Hollywood Edge has also released two new spe- cialty collections, Sci-Fi Toolkit and Guns HD. Available this month, Sci-Fi Toolkit, was cus- tom-designed by Alexander Kopeikin.
It includes more
than 1,600 interstellar and extraterrestrial sounds, includ- ing robots, spacecraft, probes, lasers, power cores and alien liquids. It also features envi- ronmental, background and abstract sounds such as earth- quakes and metallic sounds. Guns HD features 500 gun
sounds, recorded from multi- ple perspectives and distances. Guns include the Uzi 9mm, Heckler & Koch MP7, AK-47, Navy Seal Mk18 and .50 Browning machine gun.
