As one of 3 Badge's fastest growing brands (Leese-Fitch sales are up almost 30% year to date), August Sebastiani, 3 Badge's President adds, "We're excited to be releasing our Firehouse Red Wine, which pays tribute to our new headquarters. We decided to extend with the Leese-Fitch line given the significant growth taking place in the red blend category, specifically around similar price points as Leese-Fitch." As a brand that proudly celebrates its heritage, Firehouse Red is a perfect fit in their portfolio. Leese-Fitch was born in Sonoma with the aim of creating wines that are representative of their Californian appellations and an eye towards being "firm in the present, with a nod to the rich tradition of the past". With competitive pricing and high-end taste, Leese-Fitch hits a sweet spot for many wine drinkers. In addition to Firehouse Red Blend, Leese-Fitch also produces a Sauvignon Blanc, Chadonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Firehouse Red differentiates itself from the rest of Leese-Fitch's portfolio by being the first to have Petit Sirah as its base. The wine also fea- tures Syrah, Merlot, Zindandel and Mourvèdre, each varietal adding its own characteristic to create a blend of rich, fruit focused varietals wine that's sure to be as popular as the rest of Leese- Fitch's lineup. The Firehouse Red exudes earthy notes of leather and sandalwood, with flavors of fig and chocolate, finished with plum and candied tangerine peel. Sebastiani notes that, "we craft all our wines to pair with foods. As a result, we look to wines of higher acidity and more subtle flavors," and the Firehouse Red Wine is no exception. The wine pairs well with cheese or fresh fruit, or heartier entrées like grilled chicken, pasta or even pizza. With the new Firehouse Red release, Leese- Fitch is set to continue its ongoing success.
