Portland is a hot destination and groups who want to take advantage of this buzzworthy loca- tion can do so at a hotel which works very hard to provide atten- dees with a "Purely Portland" expe- rience. As one of the final pieces in the hotel's overall renovation – which included new guest rooms, an M Club Lounge, and fitness center refresh – the Ballroom redesign encompassed the following: •New look for the 3,000-sq. ft. Ballroom Foyer which features two built-in registration desks and is also a great option for cocktail parties, trade shows, etc. •Renovation of the 14,144 – sq. ft. Oregon Ballroom in a con- temporary palette with functional space to accommodate any meeting purpose. The design offers a sub- tle nod to all things Portland and includes carpeting with a bike tire design representing the city's love for bikes. The bike theme is reflected elsewhere in the hotel including bike artwork in guestrooms, bike tires on the walls in the new M Club, bike rentals for hotel guests, and even first-of-its-kind bike storage in select guest rooms. The Ballroom takes a cue from Marriott's own MeetingsImagined website, and features a variety of modern, flexible furnishings to take a tra- ditional theater-style meeting setup and make it thought-provoking, inspired, and modern – something which is no doubt an integral part of every meeting agenda. To celebrate the new Ballroom, the hotel is also featuring a special Group Offer. To further embrace the Purely Portland spirit, groups who book a 2016 meeting by June 30th, will receive a complimentary Purely Portland Coffee Break fea- turing local Portland favorites VooDoo Doughnuts and Stumptown Coffee. The hotel features 506 newly renovated guest rooms including select rooms which feature clever bike storage. This Energy Star-certified hotel features tasty cuisine with an arti- sanal flair at Bistro by Truss, a 24-hour fitness center, and over 44,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space.
