{ SOMMjournal.com } 145 SAN JUANITO WINERY San Juanito 2013 Malbec, Reserva Especial, Valle de Bernal, Mexico San Juanito is a small vineyard located in the Bernal Valley in a region of the country known as the Mexican Altiplano Central, a plateau that is approximately 6,500 feet above sea level. San Juanito Winery only grows red varietals: Malbec, Syrah, Tinta de Bernal (Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the wines are estate grown and bottled. The award-winning 2013 San Juanito Malbec, Reserva Especial, Valle de Bernal, Mexico, was the very first vintage for the San Juanito Winery and is currently available.
