HIGHLIGHTS The African-American cultural area can be found on Indiana Avenue, which serves as one of the six cultural districts throughout Indianapolis. Walker Theatre is at the heart of this district with a full lineup of theatre and concert perform- ances throughout the year. Other highlights include: The home of Madame C.J. Walker, Freetown Village, Indiana Landmarks Tours, Active Indy Tours, Rhythm Discover Center, Conner Prairie, White River State Park: A 250- acre urban greenspace within walking dis- tance from the Indiana Convention Center. The park includes seven family- friendly attractions including the NCAA Hall of Champions, Indianapolis Zoo, Eiteljorg Museum of Native American and Western Art, Indiana State Museum, Indiana Historical Society, and more. There is also a new $63 million, eight- mile Cultural Trail connecting all six cul- tural districts, hotels, and major attrac- tions – adjacent to the convention center. IT'S ROOMY There are 7,100 in the downtown area, 4,700 rooms connected to the convention center via climate-con- trolled skywalks and 33,000 in the metro area. TIMETO CONVENE The Indiana Convention Center (ICC) is located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.More than half of the nearly 7100+ hotel rooms are within six blocks of the facility, including the Marriott, Westin,Hyatt,Hilton and Conrad.
