Meeting planners looking to incor- porate Center Cut Steakhouse into their events can do so while taking advantage of the alternative venues program offered by Caesars Entertain- ment. Rio Headliner Penn Jillette Presents Las Vegas Charity Opportunity Village with $40,000Donation Penn Jillette – half of the provoca- tive comedy-magic duo Penn & Teller and recent contestant on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice – recently had the chance to present his winnings from a Celebrity Apprentice challenge to Las Vegas-based charity Opportunity Village. Focused on assisting people with intellectual disabilities and inte- grating them into the community, the organization provides vocational train- ing, employment and social recreational services in Las Vegas. The star welled up when he presented two checks totaling $40,000 to some of the individuals the organization serves. Linda Smith, chief development offi- cer for Opportunity Village, indicated that the exposure from the show has benefited the charity. "We have had hundreds and hundreds of responses on Facebook and Twitter, and have received many online donations," Smith said. "Most of them have come from outside Las Vegas." Having originally spent years on Broadway, Penn & Teller's live show is now the longest-running headliner show in Las Vegas, where it plays night- ly at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. For group blocks of 12 tickets or more, visit Caesars Entertainment's Total Show Access or call Entertainment Group Sales at (866) 574-6982. Caesars Entertainment's Las Vegas Penn at Opportunity Village Resorts Provide Almost 27,000 Meals to Hungry Nevadans Seven restaurants at Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts sold more than 1,300 meals and raised over $8,900 during the inaugural spring edition of Las Vegas Restaurant Week. For a one-week period from February 27 through March 4, 2012, locals and tourists were given the opportunity to order from designated prix-fixed menus in some of the best restaurants in Las Vegas while simultaneously helping Three Square's fight to end hunger in Southern Nevada. Caesars Entertainment's participating restaurants included Mesa Grill, Serendipity 3 and Payard Patisserie & Bistro at Caesars Palace; Martorano's at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino; KGB: Kerry's Gourmet Burgers at Harrah's Las Vegas; Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas; and Strip House at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Five dollars from every meal purchased was donated to Three Square Food Bank, with the exception of Strip House, which donated $4 from the purchase of every meal. For every $1 raised, Three Square is able to provide three meals for hungry children and elderly persons in Southern Nevada.
