people SIMON 'KNIFE PARTY' ROBSON LA's Duck has increased its presence in the live- action and animation realms with the addition of Sydney, Australia-based director Knife Party — also known as Simon Robson. He will focus on spots, full-length features and special proj- ects. Recent work includes an animated spot for MasterCard and a trailer for the SBS series Immigration Nation. Live action work includes a spot for Australian telecom Telstra. ROBSON MORGAN BRADLEY, JERRY SUKYS Beast Chicago, a division of Deluxe, has pro- moted assistant editor Morgan Bradley to editor. Her recent clients include Walgreens, Blackberry, 100 Club of Chicago, March of Dimes and Bayer. Bradley is the first editor to be pro- moted at Beast Chicago (as well as the youngest on the staff). She began under the wing of senior creative editor Angelo Valencia. Beast Santa Monica has hired executive pro- SUKYS ducer Jerry Sukys, who joins after a seven- year run as executive producer at Cosmo Street Editorial, where he was responsible for production and cultivating client relationships. Some of his previous clients include Saatchi & Saatchi, Mendelsohn Zien, Publicis Hal Riner SF, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, David & Goliath, and 72 and Sunny. He has produced campaigns for Nike, BMW, Sprite, Ford, Acura, Chrysler and Burger King. BLAKE NICKLE Chicago production and post house Radar Stu- dios, which recently added VFX capabilities, has added senior post producer Blake Nickle to its staff. He has a background producing VFX for features, and for the past three years, Nickle produced various projects for LA's Rhythm & Hues, working on VFX for films like Moneyball, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and the upcoming Life of Pi, directed by Ang Lee. NICKLE FABIEN COUPEZ Fabien Coupez has joined MassMarket, with offices in NY and LA, as senior Flame artist and VFX supervisor. Coupez comes to MassMarket with over 14 years of experience in visual effects, working on productions worldwide with compa- nies such as MacGuff Ligne, Wizz, Premiere Heure, Digital District and Film Delux. ERIC WAIS NYC-based creative boutique and post house Goodpenny has signed editor Eric Wais, who comes to them from Bikini Editorial. His addition complements their visual effects team and two Flame suites. He gradu- ated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Film and Electronic Media. SINQUIN ALINE SINQUIN MPC London has signed Aline Sinquin as senior colorist. Formerly based in Paris, Sinquin has more than 10 years of industry experience, having worked with directors such as Emir Kus- turica, Frederic Planchon, Michel Gondry, Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, Jean-Pierre Philippot and Pleix. Her recent credits include projects for Nike, Nina Ricci, Orange, Peugeot and L'Oreal. Sinquin will be part of MPC's existing telecine team, which includes Jean-Clement Soret, George K, James Tillett and Stephen Gatti in London; and Mark Gethin and Ricky Gausis in Santa Monica. KEITH MCCABE Digital studio Reel FX, in Santa Monica and Dal- las, has hired VFX veteran Keith McCabe as GM of its commercial division. His primary focus will be to oversee all aspects of commercial pro- duction from motion design to CG/VFX work. A 16-year industry vet, McCabe was most recently at Charlex, where he supervised CG work on campaigns for Verizon Wireless, Cover Girl, Clai- rol and Hershey's. He has a degree in Digital Media from Full Sail University. He also has worked at VIFX, Sony Imageworks, Asylum, Rhythm & Hues, ILM and Blue Sky. DAVID BENNETT Santa Monica's Faceware, makers of 3D facial animation software, has hired David Bennett to head up sales in Europe and India.
