BITS & PIECES www.postmagazine.com 10 POST JUNE 2016 TELESTREAM ANNOUNCES SCREENFLOW 6.0 SCREEN RECORDING & EDITING SOFTWARE NEVADA CITY, CA — Telestream (www.telestream.com) has announced ScreenFlow 6.0 — the latest version of the company's screencasting and video editing software for the Mac. ScreenFlow's design is intended to allow anyone to easily create high-quality video tutorials, marketing videos or professional screencast video productions. ScreenFlow Version 6.0 adds a variety of new features that give users more flexibility in recording, more powerful editing fea- tures and more options for exporting their videos. New in version 6.0, the Partial Screen Capture feature enables precise focus on a particular region of interest or window, providing enhanced emphasis and clarity for viewers with smaller screens. While editing, users can now create complex motion animation effects with just a few clicks; mix and adjust up to 16 discreet channels of audio recorded from a USB mixer and set ScreenFlow to continuously record in a defined-time loop. Additionally, with Version 6, users can now export animated GIFs, take advantage of new ProRes encoding options and publish to the Telestream Cloud service. "ScreenFlow was built for educators, trainers, marketers, app developers, gamers and anyone needing to communicate a dynamic multimedia message," says Barbara DeHart, VP desktop business. "We continue to evolve, simplify and expand the power of ScreenFlow so our users can create professional video tuto- rials, marketing videos or screencast video content that hold viewers' attention." Key features in ScreenFlow 6.0 include partial screen capture, video motion effects, multi-channel audio mixer, animated GIF export, replace clip editing and an updated and improved user interface. XSENS ADDS MOBILE AND FULL WI-FI SUPPORT TO MVN STUDIO ENSCHEDE, THE NETHERLANDS — A new update to Xsens' (www.xsens.com) popular data analy- sis MVN Studio software brings more freedom of movement to motion capture via a Wi-Fi network and mobile device. When paired with Xsens MVN or MVN Biomech, update 4.3 allows users to transmit data from any location with Wi-Fi, and use a mobile device to control the recording. "The update adds the flexibility to experiment wherever you want," says Xsens product manag- er Hein Beute. "Expanding our Wi-Fi and remote options makes motion capture even more accessible for our users. We are looking forward to see how our clients will take advantage of the new features." A soft access point now does the heavy lifting, allowing motion capture data to be sent to any computer running MVN Studio on that network. With this flexibility, users can move about freely within range of their signal, inside or out, trusting that the data they produce is being sent to their chosen workstation. The MVN Studio Update 4.3 also introduces a new app that works with iOS and Android mobile devices. After accessing the MVN Remote app on their device, users can start and stop the recordings being transmitted to their workstation over Wi- Fi. Instant avatar previews cut the time it takes to visualize intended motions, and remove the need to confine a project to a specific area. The MVN Studio 4.3 update marks the first ma- jor release for the software since the 4.2 update in June 2015.
