20 The artistry of the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists (MUAHS) Guild (Local 706) was celebrated at our gala black-tie event, the 2016 Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards, on Saturday, February 20, at Para- mount Studios in Hollywood. MUAHS Guild President Sue Cabral-Ebert and Business Representative Tommy Cole presided over the awards ceremony before an audi- ence of more than 700. The Real's Loni Love served as host, and M.A.C. Cosmetics served as the Presenting Sponsor and Offi cial Cocktail Reception Sponsor. From the red carpet to the ceremony and the after party, Guild members were treated to a sensational eve- ning. Johnny Depp presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to Oscar-winning make-up artist Ve Neill (The Hunger Games, Face Off) and Oscar-winning hair styl- ist Yolanda Toussieng (Insurgent). Presenters for this year's awards included Tamera Mowry-Housley (The Real), Brandy Norwood (Zoe Ever After), Timothy Omundson (Galavant), LeVar Burton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Kate Flannery (The Offi ce), June Diane Raphael (Grace and Frankie), Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black), Arielle Kebbel (Ballers, Fifty Shades Freed), Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie), Melody Thomas Scott (The Young and the Restless), Brian Letscher (Scan- dal), Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Doug Jones (The Strain), AMPAS President Cheryl Boone Isaacs and Michael Key (Make-Up Artist Magazine publisher). Winners in the fi lm categories included Mad Max: Fury Road, Cinderella, Furious 7 and Pitch Perfect 2. Televi- sion winners included American Horror Story: Hotel, Game of Thrones, Dancing With the Stars, The Walking Dead and Scream Queens. A full list is available at local706.org.
