THE LOS ANGELES KOSHER FOOD & WINE EXPERIENCE DAZZLES TRADE ATTENDEES AND FOODIES ALIKE WITH 300 WINES AND TOP KOSHER RESTAURANTS Required "Experience" by Elyse Glickman / photos by Cal Bingham A t this point in time, most wine connoisseurs know there is more to life (and kosher wine) than Manischewitz. The Kosher Food & Wine Experience has celebrated this reality with events in London, New York and Miami. This year, top kosher wine pro- ducers and Southern California kosher restaurants brought this celebration of diversity to Los Angeles's Petersen Automotive Museum. Among 300 featured wines, Oxnard- based Herzog Wine Cellars was well represented with numerous top picks from California wineries. However, the mind-expanding "experience" for attendees was taken further with selec- tions from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Israel, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand and Australia. Complex reds and sophisticated, lively white wines were paired with an array of dishes from Baron Herzog's own Tierra Su restau- rant, as well as Beverly Hills Kosher Thai, Meshuga 4 Sushi, La Gondola and Shiloh's Steakhouse.
