The Internet can be your friend or your enemy depending on how you use it. The music and the entertainment industries are still learning how to tame this giant, but some artists have already benefitted greatly from the web. Orianthi is one such artist. From the great down under (Australia), Orianthi has been on the music scene for only a short time, but has still managed to make her mark in a huge way. She has a hit single, "According to You," and was hand-selected to be a guitarist for the biggest name in music—Michael Jackson. That's right. Michael Jackson handpicked Orianthi to be his guitarist during the "This is It" concert tour before his untimely death. But what makes Orianthi a truly inspirational artist is that she found her fame on the web. So often the chief complaint about the entertainment business is the difficulty getting in. But the web changes all of that. Michael Jackson did not call an agency to find his guitarist. No. Jackson saw Orianthi on YouTube and called her in for an audition, hiring her on the spot. Orianthi's success has continued as she performed on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest." As the clock struck midnight that evening, a new year waited, and a bright future is definitely in the cards for this Australian-born star. " Guitar for me is an outlet. It's the way I express myself and I just love to play music. It's my life. " Writer>>Jon Khoshafian intervieW & questions>>damion stein
