3 out of 3, you get 4 points. You win three points (your net win), one point for each of the segment wins minus zero points (your opponent didn't win any) plus one point for the majority of segments won, totaling four points. In the Asian and Mandarin versions of the game, which isn't necessarily played at every casino, bonus points may also be awarded. Bonus points are awarded as follows: Bonus points hands in the back hand include five extra points for a straight flush and 4 extra points for a Four-of-a-Kind. Bonus points hands in the middle hand include ten extra points for a Straight Flush, eight extra points for a Four-of-a-Kind, and two extra points for a Full House. Finally bonus points in the front hand include three extra points for a Three-of-a- Kind. Finally if you receive The Dragon Hand (Ace through King of any suit) the hand is immediately worth 13 points. This hand beats all other Automatic Win hands. Also if your hand out-ranks the other 3 opponent's hands 3 out of 3 (front, middle and back), you win 7 points in the Asian Version and 12 points in the Mandarin Version and the same applies when the game is 3-handed, if your hand out ranks the other 2 opponent's hands 3 out of 3 (front, middle and back), the difference being you win 9 points in the Mandarin Version only. The Automatic Win hands are also always in play in the game of Chinese Poker. As mentioned above The Dragon Hand (Ace through King of any suit) beats all other Automatic Win hands, however in most LA Casinos it is worth 4 points. Next in line includes any 13 card hand that includes 6 pairs at which time the player will win 4 points. Also note that Four-of-a-Kind can be counted as 2 pairs. In addition any 13 card hand that has suited cards in all 3 parts will receive 4 points and any 13 card hand that has Straights in all 3 parts will also receive 4 points. A Straight Flush can be used as a Straight or a Flush for bonus hands and in the Asian Version, a player has the option of not using a Automatic Win Hand. If someone declares an Automatic Win, the payoff starts left from the Dealer's Button and any player that has any one of these hands will collect 4 points from each player in both the Asian Version (except the Dragon Hand in the Asian Version which is worth 13 points) and most LA Casino versions. If more than one player has one of these hands, it is a "push" between these two players and they each collect from the other players. Automatic Win Hands must be declared before the hands are open otherwise the hands will play the way the player sets. If you have an Automatic Win Hand, the player does not need to set the hands. An automatic win will be indicated when a player just places his stack of cards down on the table. In addition it is very crucial to set the cards properly of penalties or forfeiture of hands may occur. A hand is set improperly in each of the following situations: If any part of the three segment hands has the wrong number of cards or if any part of the three segment hands are set out of ranking order. In the event that any player sets his or her hand improperly that player must pay 4 points to all of the other players in both versions of the game. Finally if one or more player(s) set the hand "Foul", all Bonus hands (if there is any) will count against the player(s) who set the foul hand including Super Bonus Hands. So no matter what version you play, Chinese Poker offers you a fun new game to ring in the Chinese New Year in style. Not only does Chinese Poker offer you some new thrills, but also with all those bonus points you could seriously start raking in some cash. With all that extra money you can keep your other New Year's resolution and renew that gym pass you just cancelled. Writer>>daniel albert 7
