www.postmagazine.com 17 POST MARCH 2016 SOUND LIBRARIES KILLER TRACKS OFFERS NEW RELEASE FROM LUKE MCMASTER SANTA MONICA — I Feel Alive, a collection of 13 pop-driven, original songs from blue-eyed soul singer Luke McMaster, is the latest addition to Killer Tracks (www.killertracks.com) Artists Series. The tracks are available for licensing through the company's Website and for com- mercial purchase on iTunes. "Luke McMaster writes great music with memorable melodies and big catchy chorus- es," says Carl Peel, Killer Tracks' VP of produc- tion. "Luke's songs are real and emotionally relevant, and they work with visuals. Very few people can nail all that. Luke did." McMaster wrote and produced the 13 tracks featured on I Feel Alive in tandem with award-winning songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Arun Chaturvedi. Launched in 2012, Killer Tracks' Artist Series features original tracks from breakout artists from across the spectrum of popular music. Previous releases include work from The Mutants, Rev Theory, Rare Monk, Shiny Toy Guns, Tamar Karprelian, Misun and Alex Band. The venture has led to a number of notable licensing deals. MEGATRAX LAUNCHES A-LIST MUSIC, UNITING TOP MOVIE COMPOSERS (L-R) Bruce Broughton, JC Dwyer, Robert Allaire, and Garry Schyman HOLLYWOOD — Music production company Megatrax (www.megatrax.com) has launched A-List Music (www.alistmusic.com) as a new division that unites 25 of Hollywood's top music composers in a new premium label, geared towards exclusive licensing for motion picture trailers and movie marketing campaigns. JC Dwyer will serve as the company's executive producer and creative director. With its launch, A-List Music is making available to motion picture marketers six albums — Out For Blood (hybrid tension thriller), Ruination (cinematic hybrid metal), Heroes and Villians (epic action and adventure), Legends of Tomorrow (epic action and adventure), Pandemonium (musical percussion and sound design) and Rage Machine (trailer sound design elements) — comprising 60 custom-composed cues for movie trailers, and an additional 50 tracks of sound design elements. In addition, it is also offering track customization and original custom scoring for motion picture advertising campaigns. Music composers who have contributed to the A-List Music banner and its initial six CD offerings include Bruce Broughton, Jeff Carruthers, Jim Dooley, Ryan Andrews, Peter Bateman, Mark Denis and Eddie Wohl. SOUNDEFFECTS.COM LAUNCHES DETROIT — Sound designer/recordist/author Ric Viers has launched Soundeffects.com, a new Website that features sound effects content from publishers and independent sound effects produc- ers from around the world. Viers, who authored The Sound Effects Bible, and records his own libraries, including the recently-released Haunted FX collection, launched the site with the goal of helping next-generation sound effects producers share their work. The site offers sound effects, loops and royalty-free music via single, volume and subscription options. Soundeffects.com will also feature articles and videos, as well as a platform for sound effects producers to distribute their own sound effects. Viers' Blastwave FX released the Haunted FX horror-themed library last fall. The collection contains 666 effects and is priced at $99. More than 10 hours of content is included, with effects that can be used to create spooky ambiences, ghosts, witches, graveyards, and more.
