Belli Vineyards, Russian River Valley ($35) A lush, ripe Chard from Sonoma master Richard Arrowood; dense fruit and fi rm acidity; unfi ned for rich complexity, depth and lengthy fl avors; stylish and vivid. Amapola Creek 2010 94 Sauvignon, Alexander Valley ($75) What a gorgeous wine from this winery that is well on its way to becoming a cult producer; fragrant and lush with black raspberry and cassis and licorice; generous and ripe but still beautifully structured and completely in balance with a long fi nish and lovely aging potential. WILSON DANIELS Lancaster Estate 2008 Cabernet 62 / the tasting panel / may 2012 DOMESTIC 92 Chappellet Sauvignon, Napa Valley ($49) Smooth and velvety with bright plum and cherry fruit; racy and fresh with great depth, style and fi nesse; agile and charming. 2009 Cabernet 90 Chardonnay, Monterey County ($22) Smooth and bright with ripe Bernardus 2010 pear, citrus and spice; tangy acidity, toasty oak and excellent balance; long and juicy. IMPORTS 90 Voyage Pinot Gris, Marlborough, New Zealand ($20) Smooth and ripe with lively acid structure and rich, deep fl avors; long and balanced. 88 Astrolabe 2010 CANNONBALL WINE CO. 90 90 "Heritage Reserve," Carneros ($35) Bright, silky and juicy with peach, citrus and elegant oak; creamy, complex and nicely structured, this wine's long, balanced fi nish complements its classic expression of Carneros fruit. Schug 2009 Chardonnay Valley ($17) Bright, racy and minerally with pure acidity and lively citrus fruit; bracing and agile with focus and purity; long and charming. Tangent 2009 Pinot Gris, Paragon Vineyard, Edna BAILEYANA Glen Carlou 2010 Chardonnay, Paarl, South Africa ($17) Crisp and juicy with tangy acidity, bright citrus, coconut and subtle oak; lovely balance, complexity and length.
