It is in this spirit that we've made avail- able a selection of food friendly wines (from the many delicious wines we have the good fortune to taste throughout the year) for purchase through the introduction of our exclusive Clever Root Wine Club. We've partnered with Wine Tasting Network, one of the country's leading cura- tors of wines online, to bring our first round of selected wines from our tastings to your table. Members selecting the Mixed Red and White wines option will receive the three whites as well as three reds, while those selecting Red only will receive the six featured red wines. Selections will change with each new issue of e Clever Root. CLARIM 2009 RESERVE CHARDONNAY, CALIFORNIA Summer pears and white petals are aromatic. Creamy and richly textured, this white offers a bright pineapple acidity. e vanilla-tangerine finish is lovely. Match it with barbequed shrimp. 93 CASSWALL 2011 CHARDONNAY, CARNEROS Complex nose with creamy orange peel and hints of tropical fruit. Delicious notes of pineapple, green apple and pear become more pronounced as the wine crosses the palate, leading to a long, lingering finish. Ahi tuna salad with a citrus vinaigrette is our dream match. 93 MIRA LUNA 2012 "TOUGH DAY" CHARDONNAY, CARNEROS Super creamy lemon chiffon filling, poached pear and melon. ought there was some residual sugar here but turns out they've added a touch of Muscat. Maybe there's both, either way it's a solid, richer style of Carneros Chardonnay that should sell really well, especially given the name, "Tough Day."
