COOK FAMILY WINES 90 Santa Sylvia 2008 Xumek Syrah, Valle de Zonda, Argentina ($18) Stony soil and intense sunshine ignite this chewy, meaty red with rhubarb and pomegranate; finishes with mint and white pepper and begs for food. ECOSUR GROUP 90 Sebastiani Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast ($18) a deeply plush Pinot that exudes dark cherries and mocha richness; elegant in style but downright juicy. FOLEY FAMILY WINES 88 Ozwell Australian Vintners 2008 Flying Piano Shiraz, South Eastern Australia ($11) Such a great value and a wonderful surprise of rich, flavorful red berries, superb acidity and depth of jammy luxury. CHATHAM IMPORTS 89 Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley ($20) alexander valley lushness is intensified in this vintage; the aromas and taste of anise and plums are a magnificent combination. a soft, sensual but ultimately rich wine. FOSTER'S GROUP Spirits 91 Devotion Vodka ($28) This protein- infused spirit offers a pillow- puff texture with hedonistic marshmallow and milky Way notes; i like the weight, the warmth and the lime-melon mid-palate. DEVOTION SPIRITS 95 Akvinta Vodka ($40) Sweet peach notes from italian wheat are showcased in this crisp and mellow mediterranean spirit. licorice and white pepper linger with a lemon- fresh finish. AKVINTA USA 92 Semental Tequila Reposado ($48) On the nose, spiced nutmeg and cinnamon intertwine with crisp lime/agave; round, rich eggnog flavors and creamy texture soothingly coat the palate, with a parting shot of white pepper.
