Robin found a small forest with huge trees in Squamish, B.C., that Alejandro loved. We were not able to find a location better than this one, so after the first two weeks of shooting in Alberta, the entire company moved back to the West Coast for a couple of weeks to maintain continuity in shooting. Squamish was having one of the worst rainy seasons in ten years and the logging road to the location was washed out a couple of times, delaying shooting and causing us to shut down for a few days. While there, I learned that no rain gear, no matter how much it cost, could keep you dry in coastal rains. The down days, fortunately, allowed me a moment to fly back to Canmore, Alberta, to supervise the construction of the fort that had just been started in the Rockies.
