20 NEWS NEWS EDUCATION EDUCATION NEWS GUILD GUILD NEWS For those who had little or no experience with prosthetic application, instructors Robert Maverick and Stephen Bettles guided a two-day class for our members. Learning the correct glues, blending techniques, colorization and safe removal were all topics covered. The ability to learn prosthetics from artists working in the field makes all the difference. Make-Up and Hair Craft Education Lancome, Hask, Vita Liberata, Pacific Instruments, Glycelene and Stick With It demonstrated their newest products to Local 706 members at a combined make-up and hair craft education. Approximately 100 attendees spent Sunday afternoon watching product demos, pur- chasing equipment and sampling the newest cosmetics and tools. Lancome (skin care), Hask (hair care) and Vita Liberata (organic self-tanners) provided generous bags of products to Guild members. Kim Borio's Glycelene vegan skin care line is offered at Nigel's Beauty Emporium at a 40% discount to Local 706 members, and Lancome is now offering a professional discount through Sephora. Hair stylist James Servera stepped up to the plate and volunteered his time as guest craft coordinator for the hair stylists, and Make-up Craft President Brian Kinney coordinated the overall event. Thank you to both for such a lovely afternoon. Prosthetic Craft Education
