EVERY HOUSE WILL HAVE A GARDEN
Congratulations on another lovely/
informative issue of WLT! I was especially
captivated by Tomas O'Grady's program
with the schools ("A Very Young Crop
of Gardeners: How Tomás O'Grady's
brainstorm is transforming L.A. Unifi ed
schools," October/November 2015). If
I didn't already have a more-than-full-
time volunteer job, I'd seriously think
about joining Enrich LA. I know how
much gardening does for me, and it is
defi nitely a way to give the hearts and
minds of young people a good start
in life.
In Maitreya's Teachings: The Laws of
Life, Maitreya says: "The time is coming
when every house will have a garden.
The fl owers growing there, of different
colors, are the symbols of the children of
the earth. Where you live, sleep and eat,
your symbol of God is a garden. Spend
at least 10 to 15 minutes a day looking
at it, growing things in it, and come very
close to me. A mystery will evolve from
that garden, cleansing mind and spirit."
Mr. O'Grady is clearly 'tuned in' to a
universal principle.
