It updates the motion-capture system calibration during every data frame, so if a camera gets bumped or moved, the calibration becomes updated so that data can still be used. Many things can contribute to a loss of calibration in- tegrity in equipment, from expansion/ contraction due to heating and cooling effects, to vibra- tions. When loss of calibration occurs, as indicated by a rise in the residual value, users have historically had only two options: recali- brate the system or perform a quick refine. While generally effective, these measures require the user to halt live data collection, thus interrupting work- flow and productivity. Continuous Calibration provides users with an uninterrupted workflow, resulting in a huge savings in time as well improved accuracy.
