"Retail partners around the country have truly enjoyed having an American-made product that offers the same qualities as the category leader," Brody explains. "The price dif- ference is what really strikes the trade. " Often $10 to $15 per bottle less than the category leader, St. Elder gives consum- ers and on-premise accounts more flexibility to splurge on their favorite spirits, while maintaining the integrity of a cocktail utilizing St. Elder as a modifier. Bright Horizons What's next for the bartender's new best friend? "We are going to continue to make strides to be for sale in every state in the U.S. as well as entering international markets," Brody says. "Just recently, we received a call in Thailand and in China for St. Elder. Along with adding more markets, we will be work- ing hard to gather more on-premise accounts and continue to be innovative with cocktail suggestions." Expect St. Elder to make an appear- ance in hearty fall and winter concoc- tions, carrying through the holidays, where it's just what a New Year's glass of Champagne needs to make your spirits truly bright! Wild about West Cork Irish Whiskey A new offering in the M.S. Walker portfolio, West Cork Irish Whiskey is available in two expressions: Original and Single Malt 10 Years Old. Leaders in technology and innovation, the Skibbereen, Ireland- based, West Cork Distilleries is one of the only distilleries in the country to use fresh spring water in its production and is the only distillery in Ireland that malts its own barley. A blend of grain and malt whiskies, West Cork Original Irish Whiskey is aged in Bourbon barrels. Citrus and vanilla give way to a heartier body of nutty malt as the spirit opens in the glass. West Cork 10 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey opens with a generous fruity aroma on the nose, leading to a rich, malty character and finishing with lasting sweet toffee notes. This non-chill filtered whiskey is matured in first fill, flame-charred Bourbon casks. A delicate blend of grain and malt whiskey delivers a smooth and approachable whiskey with a light vanilla finish. PHOTO COURTESY OF M.S. WALKER Craig Brody, National Sales Manager, M.S. Walker.
