Dark, silky and juicy with elegance, balance and finesse. Supple and complete, with precision of style and long notes of blackberry, oak and subtle vanilla. Justin Prairie: Deep purple and garnet, with very rich and supple texture. Cassis, blackberry and black olive dominate the palate. Firm tannins and long finish. Elizabeth Huettinger: Rich and tannic. An excellent wine from a stellar vintage, but still a baby! Karen Moneymaker: Plush (higher glyc - erol), with a bright freshness of fruit (black- berries and blueberries) and lovely balance of tannins and acidity. Oak is present but surprisingly well integrated. Group score: 96 Paul Hobbs 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elizabeth Huettinger: Very nice wine from a challenging vintage. Drinking well right now, with lovely acidity and ripe, dark fruit. Anthony Dias Blue: Intense and concen - trated with lovely balance of ripe fruit (cas- sis, blueberry) and earth tones. Persistent and pure on the finish, with lingering spice. Karen Moneymaker: Plummy and bright, with great acidity and red fruit. Leaner and not as textured as the 2012 or 2010. Justin Prairie: Bright purple, with slightly less concentration than the 2012. Juicy and jammy, with ripe-red fruits and a touch of mint on the palate. Group score: 94 Paul Hobbs 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Justin Prairie: A little warm on the nose, with black cherry and cassis on the nose. Good length, slightly jammy with just a touch of potting soil earth. Anthony Dias Blue: Dense and rich, with concentrated earth on the nose. Long, extracted and balance fruit on the palate. Elizabeth Huettinger: Rich texture and generous, dense fruit. Chalky minerality and dusty, mouth-coating tannins. Karen Moneymaker: Spicy and rich, with hints of graphite and gun-powder. Juicy red fruit and gripping tannins. Group score: 95 Paul Hobbs 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Justin Prairie: Deep purple, almost black. Bright acidity and chalky tannins with black olive and black tea on the palate. Karen Moneymaker: Dark and dense wild berry profile with dusky tannins and brooding black pepper. Elizabeth Huettinger: Great development of fruit and tannin, this wine is dense and textured with dark fruit and forest floor. Anthony Dias Blue: Completely integrated oak and tannins, balanced out by nuances of cut herbs, tealeaf, and black olive. Group score: 93 Paul Hobbs 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Karen Moneymaker: Floral and perfumed, with excellent balance and duration. Well integrated oak, warm and toasty tannins. Elizabeth Huettinger: Blackberries and juicy plum leap out on the nose of this wine. Dense and chewy on the palate, with very pretty tannins and structure. Anthony Dias Blue: Spicy and chock full of earth. Palate is generous, juicy, with just a touch of dark chocolate. Justin Prairie: Dense, deep and dark gar - net with notes of strawberry, black cherry, opulent cocoa and firm tannins. Group score: 92 Paul Hobbs 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Anthony Dias Blue: Floral and ripe, with layers of earth. Rich, soft, plush and clean. Elizabeth Huettinger: Expressive and dense with black olive, cinnamon and red fruits on the nose, vibrant acidity and long finish. Justin Prairie: Herbaceaous with hints of cedar and bramble. Black raspberry, cassis and mint lead off the palate with floral notes of gardenea and field lavender. Karen Moneymaker: Riper on the nose, with red rose petals, black licorice and fennel. Group score: 96 Paul Hobbs 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Justin Prairie: Savory and supple with a nose of black olive, cassis, black cherry and chocolate. Karen Moneymaker: Dark fruit, cedar, licorice, pencil lead and chocolate on the palate. Concentrated notes of plum and soy. Anthony Dias Blue: Elegant and peppery with dark, silky, mature tannins and just a touch of savory on the palate. Elizabeth Huettinger: Beautiful and dark, ripe fruit. Velvety tannins and a hint of molasses. Group score: 95
