A S S O CI AT I O N G OV ER NA N CE 2012 NEA-RA Candidate Statements STATEWIDE CANDIDATES Bill Rhodes • 2012 is a critical year for the future of this country and our association. As an experienced RA delegate and associa- tion leader, I am ask- ing that you consider allowing me the privilege of represent- ing you at the 2012 NEA-RA. Please vote for Bill Rhodes, state wide at-large RA Delegate. Maria Leyva • Standing Strong for our students is what the Arizona associa- tions do. As a Delegate to the NEA RA, I will represent our state and region well. I am a fifth-generation Arizonan, 18-year veteran teacher and now is the time for us to demonstrate pride in our profession. Andrew Morrill • As AEA President, I have the privilege of representing you in a number of situations. The NEA Representative Assembly, the highest governing body in the NEA, is an important opportunity to place your interests and concerns on the table. Please elect me to bring your voice to the RA. Beth Weisser • For the past four years I have participated in the AEA Delegate Assembly. Currently I am president of the Kingman local. Last year I ran for Arizona Senate and am looking at running for a legislative office again. NEA RA will improve my ability to serve. Please vote for me. Martha Romero • It would be an honor to be one of your Arizona Representatives at the 2012 NEA Representative Assembly. I am currently the President of the Apache Junction EA. I am enthusiastic and dedicated to advocating for our chil- dren and all involved in education. I appreciate your vote and support! Rachel Stafford • As a dedicated local leader/board member I proudly represent region 8 in countless ways, taking your message to state and national leaders. Attending the RA would allow me to continue my service to you: therefore, I appreciate your vote and support as your delegate to the 2012 RA! Deidra Daniels • I am Deidra Daniels. I work in Coolidge. I would like to represent Arizona at the 2012 NEA-RA in Washington, DC. As your statewide representative you'll have an educator who stands strong for public education in our state and nation. Vote Deidra D to represent AZ in DC!! Nidia Lias • As a leader and your AEA Treasurer I proudly represent our AEA members. I ask for your vote to the NEA Representative Assembly. As a delegate I will continue to advocate for members and our core values. It will be an honor to be your representative at the NEA-RA. Kevan Kiser-Chuc • No statement submitted Jason Roach •I have served for the past three years on the Board of the AEA and have collaborated with many locals around the state in order to make us stronger. Collaboration is a must when representing the AEA at the NEA Representative Assembly. For effective collaboration, vote for Roach.
