So when we travelled to Dallas in May for our Brown Spirit Speed Tasting, THE TASTING PANEL was thinking big, with a panel of some of Texas's leading tastemakers on hand to taste through five unique brown spirits. With our panel including a chef, a distributor and even an artisanal ice maker, we brought some of the industry's best to our brown spirits showcase. With ten minutes to showcase their brawny brown spirits, each mixologist stepped up to the plate at Dallas's beautiful Lark on the Park, presenting our panel with both neat tastes and unique, fla- vor-driven cocktails. Our panel sipped and savored, before jotting down their tasting notes, which appear on the following pages. So join us as we wander down this brown, boozy path, where dark rums and whiskies reign, and creative cocktails flow —we promise you'll be glad you did!
