In the west, traveling from mountainous terrain to coastal beaches and then to the snow or dessert, can be accomplished in one day with a handy GPS and a good set of tires. From the mountain states – Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, to the Pacific states - Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, one can find the best of the best in terms of state-of-the-art meeting facilities, world-famous hotels and resorts, entertainment and fascinating heritage sites.
